What is Social Media Addiction ?

Social media addiction is a behavioural addiction that is growing rapidly among today's people, which is defined by excessive worry about social media, an uncontrolled desire to log on or use social media. Driven by urge, its effect is visible in today's youth as well as adults, these people nowadays devote so much time and effort to social media that it affects other important life areas.

  • Negative impact on your job or school assignments due to overuse of social media (eg, scrolling through your apps instead of work or studies) spending more time with your phone, not giving time to people around you.

However, social media use can negatively affect teens, distracting them from their goals, disrupting their sleep, and making them prone to bullying, rumour-mongering and other people's lives. Can expose you to unrealistic ideas and peer pressure. Risk may be related to how and how teens are using social media.


How can I stop Social Media Addiction?

  • Delete apps, or disable notifications from social media because often most people check social media without thinking, so by turning off notifications, you stay away from social media addiction.

  • Spend maximum time with your friends and family.

  • Play outside with your friends so that you and the people around you keep a distance from social media.

You all are familiar with the term social media, social media was invented to overcome the problem of people who don't live their family. Stay away from friends, relatives........ With social media everyone can sit and talk anytime, anywhere. Social media like WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram erased the distance between everyone but due to the increasing craze of social media today it id proving bad for us. In view of this habit which is becoming a curse for us and our coming generation, we and the people around us should use it properly.
