“Famous food of south India, Idli Dosa”

Life is just like Indian food as our life becomes interesting by adding love, happiness, trouble, and joy to it. Likewise, different spices are mixed together to make the food tastier and India is known for its spicy, mouthwatering, and Tandy dishes. In India, the food and taste of people vary from state to state. Especially south Indian meals shine with southern hospitality because of the love that goes into making them. That’s why the Indian kitchen is busy making south Indian food. Special dishes of south India are mentioned below:-
Dosa:
Dosa is one of the favorite dishes not only in South India but now in India too. Dosa is the ever-popular south Indian breakfast of crispy crepes made with fermented rice and lentil batter but Indian Family members love to eat it in breakfast, lunch, and in dinner also. A variety of dose exists like plain dose, masala dosa, rava dosa, and many more.

Idli-idly:
How good the taste of eggs and bread is, you will forget everything after eating it, so try having idli for breakfast once. Idli is made from rice and black lentils and you can also try idli made from semolina batter. If you are making idlis at home, make sure to use an idli pot with small grooves - this allows the batter to be placed and steamed for a few minutes. It is eaten with coconut chutney. Some new contemporary variations are butter idli, rava idli, and many more.

Vada:
Vada is a fried snack. Alternative names for this food include wada, vade, vadai, wadeh, and bara. It is a rounded shape with a hole in the middle. It is usually eaten with sambar.

Sambar:
As we discussed, idli and vada are usually eaten with sambar. We want to know what sambar is. It is a lentil-based curry, cooked with summer vegetables such as carrots, beans, gourds, potatoes, drumsticks, and many other seasonal vegetables.
Each south Indian state has its own sambar and takes pride in the diverse variety available in the country.

Pongal
Pongal is a rice dish eaten on special occasions in Sri Lanka. It is cooked over an open fire in a clay pot and is usually served with milk and water boiled together. According to Tamil beliefs, if the liquid spills over the pot, it brings good luck and prosperity to the family. Pongal preparation is a family affair with each member ceremoniously pouring a handful of rice into the pot. After this, the leftover rice is added to the dish along with mung beans, cane sugar, and ground cashews. Pongal is served on a banana leaf and before eating it, the whole family makes an offering to the Sun God.

Puttu and Kadala curry:
Puttu and Kadala curry is a delicious dish from Kerala. It is a steamed rice cake flavored with coconut flakes and eaten with kadala curry. It's also a popular breakfast food! This dish is one of the famous vegetarian dishes of South India, which is a traditional food of Kerala.

Bisi bel bhaat:
Bisi bel bhaat is a dish from Karnataka in southern India. It is a variant of khichdi, cooked with boiled rice, toor dal (a lentil), vegetables, and spices. Once prepared, it is served with boondi, raita, chutney, salad, papad, or potato/banana chips to make it more palatable.

Hyderabadi Biryani
Biryani is a South Indian dish made with rice, meat, lemon, and other spices. Some people think that the delicious taste of biryani comes from the way the rice and meat are cooked, which is different from what most people do. This style of cooking is believed to have come from Persia during the time of the Mughals.
There are many types of food in Himachal Pradesh that are very much liked by tourists. Some of these foods are found in the snowy mountains, while others are found in the beautiful plains.
